The brief for this 3-storey, 5 bedroom extension and renovation, was to match the existing Edwardian period features. Features we incorporated included a central fireplace incorporating sandstone and stacked stone, grey ironbark flooring and staircase, as well as Caesar Stone bench tops in the kitchen and bathrooms. The parent’s retreat was built on the third storey, this was an open plan attic style room featuring painted timber lining boards on the ceiling. The retreat also included the main bedroom with large balcony, a spacious ensuite as well as living room space and study nooks with views of the pool, tennis court and the ranges beyond. Extensive works to the façade involved verandas around most of the home and double car garaging underneath built into a sloping block. The use of second hand pressed red and clinker bricks along with stucco render closely matched the existing period feel of the home.
